2nd CD released! – BTTLSHIP GRY
July 17, 2008
On the heels of Legalize Crime, the second CD by Fuck Sunshine, titled BTTLSHIP GRY, has been released on Jewish Noise! Like the first album, this cd is full of tracks of audio collage composed almost entirely of feedbacked radio audio. Both CDs are available for download on the JEWISH NOISE Netlabel at archive.org.
BTTLSHIP GRY was recorded using processed AM, FM and SW radio static and music, combined with a feedbacking mixer and outboard effects. The feedback mixer creates sound by plugging the output of the mixer back into the input. Using a variety of pedals and effects, this feedback is allowed to amplify itself until it creates a sound reminiscent of wailing guitars, albeit with a more electric sound. This signal was combined with radio noise to create a unique collage of sounds.
The CD sleeve is an individually stenciled print with spraypaint. No two CDs have the same colors and exact design. Purple top and bottom CDR. Handnumbered edition of 50. Get in contact if you would like to purchase or trade for an album. You are free to download, remix and re-distribute this album.

And Jewish Noise is born!
The first album released on Jewish Noise is Fuck Sunshine’s Legalize Crime CDR. The album is composed of two tracks that are audio collage, culled from radio static, heavily processed vocals, recordings of very low earth frequencies, police scanners, and other audio phenomenon. These snippets have been woven together and reworked to create pleasing compositions.
The covers are handpulled solarplate relief prints with sludgy soy-based ink onto 100% recycled Sustainable Group CD sleeves and with a digitally printed insert. Each sleeve is printed slightly differently and all albums are individually numbered in an edition of 50. Get em while they’re hot. The album is also available to download or play for free on the Jewish Noise Netlabel on archive.org.
