Jewish Noise is proud to present Olga’s Account, A History: Volume 1. This is the fifth album released by the label, and is the first to have no composed music. It consists entirely of an interview between Daniel Hantman and his grandmother Olga Caputo about their family history. She talks about their life in Italy, their aspirations, challenges, failures, successes, run-ins with the mob, family knifings, marriages, splits, immigration to the USA, tax evasion, strong women, brave men, and a whole lot more. A beautiful and surprising story. Better than NPR. The album was produced by Lee T and comes packaged with liner notes by interviewer/grandson Daniel Hantman and Lee T, as well as photos, and a color faux-woodblock-print CD face.

This album is handmade and released in an edition of 50 and is available for purchase or free download on the releases page. Sadly, Daniel Hantman had a major bike accident 1 week ago and broke his collarbone. While he is home recuperating, he really enjoys reading. And so I offer this deal for the first 10 respondents: if you contact me for his address to send him an interesting, loved book (new or used), I will send you a copy of the album for free.

riverside sessions is a new collab album of fuck sunshine and Daniel Lichtman out on 3″ CDR in an edition of 50. This is an album of harsh-ish noise, created from manipulating the radio live using pedals, effects, and handmade, written patches in Pure Data. Recorded straight to digital in July 2008.
