JN06 Dale J. – Orthodontic Aphrodisiac

Orthodontic Aphrodisiac is the new eargasmic mindmelt of an album and dvd on the Jewish Noise record label by Dale J. of The Journeymen (Need New Body). Clocking in at a hair over 18 minutes, the album includes acoustic guitar work, squeally dealies, field recordings from Morocco, crystal-eating, berlin radio noise, 8 bit attack mode, unfortunate vocals and other juice sandwichbompers squooshed onto there (i just made that up!) into a pleasant non-harsh electroacoustic soundtrack. The accompanying dvd is a 30-minute eyefuck of gallery goodness from berlin with homemade spaceships, friendly aliens, euro freakout raves, art gallery mishaps, and monsterous gut feasts reminiscent of my Uncle Jerry’s Thanksgiving parties. For fans of kandy korn.
The album is released in an edition of 50 handmade copies with handprinted covers and handstamped CDs and DVDs, as well as an 8 page minibook featuring original art and photos. The DVD is 30 minutes long and features gallery exhibitions in Berlin, people getting locked in galleries, hip european dance music, rice feasts, cardboard gallery space stations, and more, created by Dale J.

JN02 Fuck Sunshine – BTTLSHIP GRY CDR

BTTLSHIP GRY was recorded using processed AM, FM and SW radio static and music, combined with a feedbacking mixer and outboard effects. The feedback mixer creates sound by plugging the output of the mixer back into the input. Using a variety of pedals and effects, this feedback is allowed to amplify itself until it creates a sound reminiscent of wailing guitars, albeit with a more electric sound. This signal was combined with radio noise to create a unique collage of sounds.
The CD sleeve is an individually stenciled print with spraypaint. No two CDs have the same colors and exact design. Purple top and bottom CDR. Handnumbered edition of 50. You are free to download, remix and re-distribute this album.
